Commemorate a Year of #StrongerTogether with Us!

This year we have seen Nashville come together and show love to our neighbors in North Nashville as they recover from the devastating storms of March 3rd. Covid made things even more complicated, but still, we’ve seen the city show up and live #StrongerTogether! On March 6, 2021 we will come together to remember what was lost, celebrate the recovery that has been accomplished, and commit to continuing the work!

There are 3 ways you can join us during the month of March. Read on and consider how God is calling you to be a part of what He is doing in our city:

Volunteers

 1. #StrongerTogether: Pray

This week we invite you to pray for the North Nashville community. We believe that God is at work even in the midst of all the devastation and trauma the community has experienced. We need wisdom, patience and perseverance as we seek to serve a community through the rebuilding of homes and lives. You are invited to pray generally for the work or you may use our prayer guide.

2. #StrongerTogether: Serve

The 2020 tornadoes were devastating to the community of North Nashville. We are continuing to serve the community through hot meals and the provision of needed resources. There are a number of ways that you can serve the North Nashville community this month and beyond. To commemorate the tornadoes, we will have a service day on Saturday, March 6. There will be a morning and afternoon shift as well as a worship time from 11:30am – 1:00pm. We hope you will join us as we seek to love on our neighbors! Sign up to Volunteer HERE!

3. #StrongerTogether: Give

The impact of tragedies like this on families who are disconnected and marginalized is felt on a deeper level, and the need for the faith-based services such as what we provide is growing. While rebuilding continues, and we commit to continuing the work in North Nashville, a trauma healing class has been added to our North Nashville site’s spring calendar. Faith & Finances, Work Life, and more are not far behind.  Will you help us reach our goal of raising $60,000 during the month of March? The cost for one individual to complete our programming is $2,400. You can give a one-time gift or become a monthly contributor and spread it out over the course of a year.

You can help transform the lives of families in our city by giving today. All donations are tax deductible.

In-Kind Donations

The Storehouse is a resource center in North Nashville that was established to serve the community following the tornado in March of 2020. While the storm has passed, the damage done and the overwhelming and ongoing need of the neighborhood has inspired Project Connect Nashville to keep the Storehouse going so we can continue to meet basic needs for the community as we build relationships with them and point them toward long term stability and hope. The Storehouse relies entirely on donations, so thank you for considering donating to meet this need!

Programs at PCN encourage clients to work hard towards their own housing. As Project Connect Nashville moves our clients into housing, we help these families make their new apartment a home. They often come with very few possessions, and so the donation of essential and functional items helps them get established and comfortable in their new apartment. Thank you for considering the donation of your gently used items! Click the link below to see what the current needs are and help someone settle into their new home.
