Children in poverty face challenges each day that no child should ever face. They lack the safety and freedom from stressful situations that we all want children to enjoy. As little image-bearers of God, children thrive most doing what they were created to do: interacting creatively with one another building relationships and skills!

PCN has been awarded a playground grant from KaBOOM through a local sponsor, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee Health Foundation. The playground will be built by volunteers in an impoverished area in Madison (Lexington Gardens). Residents at Lexington Gardens, a low-income community, has limited access to adequate playgrounds or facilities that provide a safe place for kids to play in view of their parent’s watchful eye. 80% of the adults at Lexington Gardens live on disability underscoring the need for easily accessible play areas for their children.

PCN is required to raise approximately 10% ($8,500) of the funds for this project. Please consider giving (indicate “playground” in the memo) here:Donate.

We also need volunteers for the day of the build. You can register to volunteer here: https://www.tfaforms.com/403679
